Wanneroo Water Bore

Russell is one of our specialist drillers for shallower water bores in the greater Perth metropolitan area.

He and his team take a lot of pride in their work so they were pretty pleased with the ‘gusher’ they drilled in Wanneroo recently.

Water Bore in Wanneroo

Wanneroo is generally pretty shallow for a water bore and the bore pictured was 18 metres deep with the bore pump set at 10 metres.

The moment of truth is before even the pump is installed when compressed air is forced down the borehole to develop up and prove the supply.

If you live in Wanneroo and would like to save money and have the best garden in the street call us on 9246 0111.

Water Bore Munster

This is a gusher we recently drilled for a client in the southern Perth suburb of Munster. Munster is located in the City of Cockburn.

As you can see in this video we have drilled and cased the water bore. We are pumping compressed air down the hole to remove drilling fines and muds. This process is also known as air developing.

The static water level was only at 3 metres so we drilled to 11 metres and set the submersible bore pump at 5 metres.

If you live in Munster or anywhere is Cockburn call us on 9246 0111 if you are considering a water bore and would like to save money.

Bore Air-Development?

We often get asked what it means to air develop a bore.  It is an important part of drilling a water bore in Perth suburbs.  Talk to us about it on 9246 0111.

Water bore Air-development.
Water gushes out of a new bore as compressed air is pumped down the borehole.

Ordinarily with a correctly constructed new water bore it is air-developed following drilling but before the installation of the submersible pump. This is particularly important in Perth’s typically sandy soils.

Air development is a process where compressed air is pumped down the borehole both flushing out the drilling muds used to drill the bore and developing water flow from the aquifer. The accompanying diagram illustrates the results of development on a bore with a stainless steel screen. The principal is the same and equally important for those water bores constructed with slotted PVC screen. Slotted PVC screen is more common in Perth water bores.

Air-development is also used to clean out old and tired bores that have diminished water flows. It helps clear out years of silt etc and once again develops flow from the aquifer.

If your bore has reduced water flow call us for the solution on 9246 0111. Our mobile service teams operate Perth metro-wide. Also there is more information on air developing a water bore HERE
