Repair Shared Bore Ocean Reef

Driving around Perth at the moment you will see people back in their front yards pottering, weeding and checking their water bore and reticulation sprinklers.

David in Ocean Reef has a shared modern Sumoto submersible water bore with his neighbour.

He called us on 9246 0111 when his bore was not starting on his side but his neighbours was working. They have a Sumoto submersible pump.

We sent out our specialist bore electrician, Dave.

Fixed water bore by replacing fuse in retic box
Fuse in retic controller replaced

The 1 amp glass fuse in the reticulation controller was blown. He replaced and all is working OK.

We suspect there may be an intermittent fault in the 24 volt start wiring of the shared bore coming from the neighbours retic controller

Happy reticulation customer Carine

Ray from Carine was grateful for the work done on his retic by our reticulation repair team. He had phoned us on 9246 0111.

It was great he bothered to say thanks. Our specialist electrician tested circuits and found issues with solenoids which were replaced. He also tested the submersible motor. Our pump electricians have done thousands of jobs like this one all over Perth.
If you have issues with your solenoids or bore pump call Troy on 9246 0111 or check out our website

Submersible bore pump electrical

When a submersible pump is assembled one of the most critical thing to get  right is the electrical connection that will spend its life under water.  Our specialist bore electrician Dave will get it right – 9246 0111.

Most submersible water bores in Perth have this underwater connection done using a  heat shrink kit. The submersible motor has a factory installed “blue lead”  which is connected to the electrical cable that will come all the way up from the pump to the bore head at the surface.

Seen here is the factory lead first being crimped to the electrical cable and then the waterproof heat shrink kit is applied. These are a series of sleeves which are essentially  shrunk over the cable joins provided a waterproof connection.

A separate stainless steel cable holds the weight of the submersible pump so
no stress is placed on this electrical joint. Sometimes in old submersible bores incorrectly joined electrical cables can be a source of trouble. Our  bore electricians are well equipped to diagnose and repair any electrical
problem you may have with your bore or pump.
