Repair water bore Como

We work for many real estate agents in Perth servicing and maintaining the water bores for their rental properties. We are sent a maintenance work order when a water bore isn’t working and we liaise with the tenants to repair the water bore.

Como Bore Fixed

We were asked last week to get our electrician to check a bore at a rental property in Como. The electrics were fine but it was not pumping water. Dave had to search around this corner block and eventually found a conduit and pump cable going to ground in the carport. He uncovered the tell-tale green lid of a submersible bore.

He found there was no water at the top of the bore head. We returned and winched up the submersible pump and replaced some blown poly.

Flat retic controller battery

Some detective work by Dave uncovered that the mains power had gone off and the reticulation controller had auto reset for 10 minutes into all stations and the pump had been dead-heading. Non existent  stations had been turning on the pump with nowhere for the water to go. This had caused the poly rising main to blow near the submersible pump. All caused because the back up battery had been flat and not preserved the program memory. We replaced the flat 9 volt retic controller battery for new. We also looped out the unused stations to prevent this happening again.

Deep Water Bore City Beach

Virgin Water Bores drilled a very deep 80 metre water bore at a home in City Beach.

The home is on a hill which is the reason it is so far to water. Virgin Bores drilled the water bore through lime-stone and sand.

In the video watch as Adam installs the 1.5 kilowatt 2 hp modern submersible pump down this bore hole…. which is equivalent to 24 stories! We ensured everything needs was perfect so it can sit down there for 20 years with minimal repairs and maintenance for this City Beach garden bore.

It is dropped into white PVC class 9 bore casing and hung above the 6 metres of slotted casing at the bottom of the borehole.

Drill new bore Baldivis

Virgin Water Bores recently drilled a new bore in Baldivis.

The last man onsite is normally our Jack who connects the bore to the existing reticulation system and tests that everything is OK.

He then makes sure the stations are balanced. This means he often doubles up existing retic stations so two come on at once to accommodate the higher flow from a bore. He then tidies up and makes sure everything is working perfectly before handing over the job to the customer.

The existing retic controller now turns on the bore for a supply of free groundwater, programmed to come on an extra day a week as allowed. This bore is carefully concealed under the paved driveway.

Building New Home Water Bore Perth

If you are building a new home in Perth – consider a water bore. It will save you thousands of dollars.

We are quoting for a client who is about to build a new home in Shelley. We are quoting for drilling, a stainless steel submersible .75 KW pump and motor and the down hole electrics for a 10 to 13 metre bore. The start of the water bearing ground is at about 2 metres.

We suggest to drill and case prior to the completion of the building and site cleanup. Avoids mess, driving on a new driveway and avoiding any problems with new front walls. We are also choose a spot that will not be built over which is ideal for ongoing access to the bore head.

We will liaise with the builder on the location of the bore. In the case of this new bore in Shelley the builder wanted to know what the bore would look like at the surface and we sent them this picture,

Today we had a number of calls from customers in the Perth metropolitan area wanting their reticulation repaired. These included a sprinkler shooting straight up in the air, a customer looking for two solenoids in their front yard and sprinklers working intermittently. It has been a busy week for us in The Vines area. Our installation teams this week  drilled a 19 metre bore throughout silty clays. The Vines can be a challenging area for water bores but we got a good supply of groundwater.

Casing a Submersible Water Bore Perth

 

Most submersible water bores are drilled between 18 metres and 60 metres deep depending on the depth to groundwater in Perth. Call 9246 0111.

Most submersible bore holes in Perth are drilled by the rotary mud method. After the desired depth has been drilled the drill bit and the metal drill rods are retrieved. Next the permanent bore casing is lowered into the bore hole in 6 metre lengths which are glued and screwed together.

In this video you will see the Class 9 PVC bore casing being lowered into the freshly drilled bore. The first 6 metres is slotted casing to allow the ground water to flow in. Inside the bore casing will be suspended a submersible pump.

New Water Bore in Sorrento

We are going to drill a new submersible water bore at home in Sorrento opposite this beautiful park.

It is summer in Perth and householders are getting ready to look after their lawn and gardens during the summer heat.

We will drill a 39 metre bore with a quality Italian submersible pump. This customer is building a new home in Sorrento, he is a repeat customer.

It is great to plan to have a water bore while building as it makes the reticulation and electrical connections easier.

The start of water bearing ground at this block is at 27 metres.  The water bore will be drilled, constructed and designed to industry standards.

New Water Bore Carine

Today we visited a new customer in the northern suburb of Carine. Their home is in a lovely cul de sac and they wanted to talk to us about a water bore in time for this summer.

We recommend a 26 metre bore for their Carine house.  The borehole would be drilled through Tamala limestone and the bore would be air developed or reverse flushed prior to installing the pump.

Our drilling teams have done many water bores in Carine and the surrounding areas of Karrinyup, Trigg and North Beach. In fact after 17 years in business this will be the fourth water bore we have done in this Carine street.
