Replace reticulation controller Carine

Total Eden had passed on a reticulation repair job for a customer in Carine, a suburb of Perth. Thanks to the Carine customer for the great review on the job we did for her.

The customer had a bore and their reticulation controller was faulty. One of our retic service team confirmed the reticulation controller needed to be replaced and we replaced the controller the next day. It was a standard outdoor model with built-in transformer.

Water bore Perth Coastal Strip

We drilled a new submersible water bore in this week for a customer in Sorrento 9246 0111.

After nearly 20 years in the “boring business” we have drilled many new water bores on Perth’s coastal strip.

The quality of the water at this Sorrento water bore was great. Salt levels perfect at 450 ppm. We drilled the bore in back yard via side gates as there was no access to front garden near electrical meter box.

Our electrician simply connected it up and over through the roof space. The number of stations on this retic system were halved when we connected the bore to accommodate the extra flow from the 1.5 hp submersible bore pump.

The job didn’t finish after the bore was completed. We then modified the garden reticulation system and added gear drive sprinklers to the verge.

Quote for submersible water bore Leeming

Today we called to see a customer to discuss a new submersible water bore for their home in Leeming 9246 0111.

After nearly 20 years in the business we have done hundreds of bores in Leeming, Willeton, Bullcreek, Canning Vale and Murdoch areas. Today’s bore is to be connected to an existing reticulation system already fed by mains water. Our client will happily save hundreds of dollars in annual water costs.

The submersible pump will produce about double the flow of mains water. Often we do new submersible bores in Leeming that replace the old well with centrifugal pumps. Then we would install a 2.2 KW submersible pump to match flow from the old pump.

Girrawheen Water Bores

Today we were busy talking to customers about water bores and water bore repairs on 9246 0111.

Water bore Girrawheen in driveway
The top of the water bore cut into driveway

We just completed drilling a new submersible bore in Girrawheen. This bore was drilled to 42 metres deep and because of access restrictions for our drilling rig we drilled this bore in the driveway. Once the submersible pump is installed only a small access hatch will be visible that can be driven on.

We have drilled in Girrawheen and surrounding suburbs for many years so have an excellent knowledge of the ground conditions.

Girrawheen water bores are mostly in the 25 to 50 metres deep range.

Out of interest – “On 26 June 1970, the Shire gazetted the name “Girrawheen”, meaning “place of flowers” or “the place where flowers grow” in an Eastern States Aboriginal language, possibly that of the Kambuwal people in southeastern Queensland” (source: Wikipedia)

Submersible Water Bore Myaree

What is under here? A modern submersible water bore that is saving the householder money. Unlike the old well type water bores with the large tin lids, this water bore is not conspicuous and runs silently.

This submersible water bore was drilled recently by our drilling team at the home of a customer in Myaree, a southern Perth suburb. The bore lid was finished flush with a new aggregate driveway. We generally drill in lawns or gardens but here there was no other possible place to drill.

Water Bore Subiaco

Modern submersible water bores have come along way. Now-a-days submersible garden bores are silent and invisible…a far cry from Subiaco’s new bore installed in 1901.

It was interesting to learn about the history of this very early water bore in the Subiaco area.

It was described as “positively cruel to keep that engine going at night” and “the Presbyterian people have succeeded in having it stopped during divine service”

If you have never thought about getting a water bore but would like to save some money and look after your garden by being able to water three days a week during summer do some reading on our website.

Water Bore Forrestfield

We have finished drilling a new submersible water bore for a large commercial property in Forrestfield. This Forrestfield bore will be used to irrigate extensive street verges and gardens. Drilling bores in Forrestfield can be tricky with potential salinity and flow concerns.

Fantastic result today though.

After air developing this commercial bore we obtained a plentiful supply of beautiful water. We have installed a three phase 2.2 kw submersible pump giving about 140 litres per minute. This picture shows us washing out the mud tank in which the water and bentonite were mixed.

New Submersible Bore Applecross

New submersible bore next to the river in Applecross
New submersible bore next to the river in Applecross

Our installation arm, Virgin Bores, has just successfully completed the installation of a new water bore in Applecross. The proximity to the river was a concern because of salinity levels so special design considerations were used. These included a high yield stainless steel screen. These screens, designed to allow higher volumes of water in than normal slotted PVC casing are able to be put in at a shallower depth. The less dense fresh water is above the underlying more dense water of higher salinity. Virgin Bores local knowledge helped arrive at a great outcome.
